A prominent UK Law firm is looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join their team in their London and Brighton offices. The role offers exposure to complex, high-profile matters, with the opportunity to work closely with the Head of the Risk & Compliance function within a highly regarded Risk & Compliance function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day advice to partners and fee earners on regulatory, ethical and professional conduct matters.
  • Advising on conflicts of interest, client engagement issues and wider risk management queries.
  • Monitoring changes in legal and regulatory requirements and coordinating the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Managing complaints and professional indemnity matters, including liaising with insurers and supporting investigations where required.
  • Reviewing, developing and maintaining the firm's risk management policies, procedures and compliance framework.
  • Supporting the firm's business continuity, information security and operational risk programmes.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the Risk & Compliance team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Risk & Compliance role within a UK law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations and wider legal regulatory requirements.
  • Experience advising on professional conduct, conflicts of interest and regulatory risk.
  • A solid understanding of legal risk management and compliance best practice.
