A leading global law firm is looking for a Senior Risk Lawyer to join their General Counsel team in London. The role of Senior Risk Lawyer would be ideal for a fee earner with regulatory experience looking to transition to an in-house role or an experienced compliance professional working within the risk team of a law firm.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Risk Lawyer role:
- Provide legal advice on risk-related issues, including general queries, policies, projects, regulatory compliance and financial crime.
- Manage and review commercial and client-related contracts.
- Act as a trusted advisor on data protection matters, working closely with risk and compliance teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and update firm policies accordingly.
- Deliver internal regulatory training to promote a strong risk management culture.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Compliance experience within a UK/International law firm.
- Qualified lawyer (or equivalent foreign qualification) preferred.
