An international law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Conflicts Manager to join its Risk & Compliance function in Dubai, overseeing their Asia and Middle East territories. This is a fantastic opportunity for a UK-based compliance professional looking to relocate and take on a strategic leadership role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s conflicts function, ensuring robust risk management processes are in place, and acting as a key advisor to senior stakeholders on complex conflicts issues.

We understand that timing may not be ideal for an immediate move. The successful candidate will have the option to be based in their London office initially, with the flexibility to relocate at a later, more convenient time. At that stage, the Firm will provide support, including sponsorship and a relocation package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the firm’s conflicts team, ensuring efficient and accurate conflict checking processes
  • Act as the escalation point for complex and high-risk conflicts matters across multiple jurisdictions
  • Advise partners and senior stakeholders on conflicts, ethics, and regulatory considerations
  • Oversee the review and analysis of conflict reports, ensuring appropriate resolutions are identified and implemented
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve conflicts policies, procedures, and controls
  • Collaborate closely with the firm’s global Risk & Compliance, Legal, and New Business Intake teams
  • Support the onboarding of new clients and matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Deliver training and guidance to lawyers and business services staff on conflicts-related issues
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the firm remains compliant with relevant legal and professional obligations
  • Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives within the Risk & Compliance function
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Extensive experience in conflicts, risk, or compliance within an international law firm
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a team
  • Ability to analyse complex legal and commercial scenarios and provide clear, pragmatic advice
  • Familiarity with Intapp Intake
