A leading US law firm is looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join the London office. The role sits within a small, collaborative, high‐performing Risk & Compliance team and supports regulatory and compliance issues across global legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with ongoing monitoring of active matters and ensure that CDD records are kept accurate and up to date.
- Conduct risk‐based client due diligence (CDD) reviews for new and existing clients, matters, and third‐party relationships in line with the firm's AML policies and procedures.
- Advise and support lawyers and business teams on AML compliance and best practice requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries from junior team members and elevate complex matters where appropriate.
- Oversee and coordinate the workload of junior compliance analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and quality assurance to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Assist in the implementation of new compliance systems, including the transition to a new AML records platform.
- Provide general support to the Risk & Compliance team and contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a compliance or risk role within a law firm.
- Proven experience conducting CDD reviews, including for complex or high‐risk clients and matters.
- Sound understanding of anti‐money laundering (AML), sanctions, anti‐bribery, and anti‐corruption legislation.
- Experience supervising or mentoring more junior team members.
