A prestigious law firm are seeking a commercially minded legal professional to join a dynamic Risk & Compliance team supporting a fast-paced international business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys contract negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and solving complex compliance challenges in a collaborative global environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Review, draft and negotiate a range of client agreements, including engagement terms, confidentiality agreements and framework contracts.
- Provide practical legal and compliance guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual and regulatory matters.
- Partner with teams across the business to ensure client commitments are implemented effectively and consistently.
- Support responses to client due diligence requests, audits and compliance questionnaires.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and contribute to commercially focused decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and enhance operational efficiency across the function.
Key skills/experience required:
- Previous experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts within a legal, compliance or professional services environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and confidently.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
- Commercially aware, solutions-focused and able to balance risk with business objectives.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
- Legal qualification or equivalent experience preferred; exposure to risk, compliance or in-house advisory work would be advantageous.
