An international law firm is looking for an In House Counsel - Corporate Affairs, to join their team in London. The In House Counsel role will suit an individual with a strong background in corporate/commercial law, either in a similar in-house setting or seeking a transition from a fee earning role.

Key Responsibilities for the In House Counsel - Corporate Affairs role:

  • Oversee and manage corporate governance for all group entities
  • Draft and review agreements for internal projects and business operations
  • Coordinate company formations and structural changes (companies, LLPs, branches, etc.)
  • Liaise with finance, tax, and other internal functions to ensure compliance with legal obligations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify process efficiencies
  • Provide legal training and mentorship to junior legal staff
  • Support the review and negotiation of commercial contracts
  • Act as a trusted advisor on corporate and operational legal matters

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 4+ years PQE
  • Prior experience working with international corporate structures
  • Solid experience in corporate legal matters, including governance and entity management
  • Proven ability to review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
  • Competent user of MS Office applications, with openness to legal tech and AI tools
