We’re looking for a commercially minded Data Protection Officer to take ownership of privacy and data governance across a growing, international professional services business. Sitting within the in-house legal function, this role is central to protecting the organisation, its people and its clients as it continues to scale globally. If you enjoy shaping frameworks, influencing senior stakeholders and embedding best practice in fast-moving environments, this is a role where you’ll truly make your mark.

Experience Required:

  • Qualified lawyer or legal professional (6-8 years PQE) with demonstrable responsibility for data protection and privacy compliance
  • Hands-on experience operating as, or alongside, a Data Protection Officer within a regulated or professional services environment
  • Proven involvement in building and rolling out organisation-wide privacy frameworks
  • Experience managing regulatory engagement, audits or inspections related to data protection
  • Track record of delivering pragmatic, risk-based advice to the business
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional data protection requirements and cross-border operations

Key Skills & Expertise:

  • Deep working knowledge of GDPR and international privacy regimes
  • Ability to lead DPIAs, manage remediation actions and assess privacy risk
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts, access controls and data governance
  • Confident communicator able to train, influence and advise at all levels of the organisation
  • Skilled at handling DSARs and individual rights requests efficiently and accurately
  • Commercially astute, with the confidence to balance compliance with business objectives
