An international law firm is looking for an experienced privacy and compliance specialist to take ownership of its global data protection programme during a key transition period. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract and hybrid role, with 50% office attendance in their London office. Working closely with senior leadership, this position will play a central role in strengthening governance, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing practical legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead and oversee the organisation’s international privacy and data governance framework.
- Provide expert advice on GDPR and wider global privacy regulations across business projects and operational activities.
- Review and guide Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), identifying risks and recommending practical solutions.
- Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders, and data-related enquiries.
- Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, templates, and internal guidance materials.
- Partner with legal, risk, and technology teams to strengthen information security controls and privacy compliance practices.
Qualified lawyer with significant experience in privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance. Background in implementing or managing enterprise-wide compliance frameworks within a complex or global environment.
