A prestigious law firm is looking for an experienced Conflicts Advisor to join its Risk & Compliance team in London. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a senior point of contact for conflicts and new business intake matters, partnering closely with the Conflicts Manager to ensure the effective management of the firm's conflicts function.
  • Review and analyse complex conflicts of interest issues arising from new client and matter openings, lateral hires, corporate transactions, and strategic firm initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance and commercially focused recommendations to partners, senior lawyers, and business services stakeholders on conflicts, confidentiality, and professional responsibility issues.
  • Support the Conflicts Manager in assessing and resolving high-risk and sensitive conflicts matters, identifying practical solutions that balance regulatory obligations with commercial objectives.
  • Lead discussions with partners and key stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of complex conflicts issues and obtain the necessary approvals.
  • Act as an escalation point and mentor for Conflicts Analysts and junior team members, providing technical guidance, training, and support on complex conflicts matters.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a conflicts, business intake, new business, or risk and compliance function within a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of conflicts of interest principles and professional conduct requirements within a legal environment.
  • Experience in using Intapp is essential.
