The Head of Facilities is responsible for the safety, compliance, standards and upkeep of every Uncommon site, and holds full H&S accountability for the business. The role leads the Facilities team, owns the relationship with members and contractors on all building matters, delivers facilities projects and small works, and sponsors the upkeep and circularity capex programme. This is a full-time onsite role.

Key responsibilities:
  • Own all Health & Safety across every Uncommon site, acting as the single point of contact for all regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure full statutory compliance with current and emerging legislation across all sites.
  • Lead day-to-day Facilities Management across the estate, maintaining high standards through regular site walks and audits.
  • Scope and deliver small works and refurbishment projects across all sites.
  • Own the PPM schedule and ticketing system, maintaining SLAs and driving first-time-fix rates.
  • Be hands-on across sites; this role blends strategic leadership with an active, on-the-ground presence.
  • Lead and develop the in-house Facilities team and contractor network.
  • Manage supplier relationships and utility contracts, driving cost efficiency across the estate.
  • Serve as the go-to contact for member companies on all building and maintenance matters.
  • Own the Facilities P&L, including budget-setting, spend control and capex oversight.
  • Champion Uncommon's ESG and B Corp commitments, embedding sustainability into everyday decisions.
