With general supervision, be responsible for the proper ordering, receiving, storage, inventory, and issuance of the facility's parts and supplies. Maintains the parts room, coordinates and controls the parts inventory program, and maintains accurate accounting records with the accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works to establish and maintain part stock level quantities with input from management.
  • Sets CMMS min/max order quantities to maintain desired inventory level of parts in warehouse.
  • Order parts and equipment with input from management.
  • Receives Parts - Physically checks in arriving parts and enters required information in CMMS.
  • Assists mechanics in finding and signing parts out of stock.
  • Create and modify tasks in CMMS system as required.
  • Label/tag and put away all parts and reorganize as needed.
  • Assist in generation of work orders as requested.
  • Perform cycle counts of parts in warehouse on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in serializing repairable equipment and identify as a sub asset in CMMS.
  • Prepare for shipment and coordinate pickup of parts to be shipped from plant to vendors.
  • Brings all parts received in the office area to the parts room on a daily basis.
  • All parts physically received in the parts room need to be logged into Micro Main on a daily basis.
  • Create photographic log of custom parts to link to assets.
  • Assist in the generation of Preventative Maintenance Work Orders as directed.
  • Maintain the work area and organize equipment manuals for all current equipment.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School, GED required, Associates Degree preferred.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Prior knowledge of Computerized Maintenance and/or Parts Inventory programs desired but not required.
  • Ability to think analytically and manage time effectively.
  • Good human relations skills, ability to work well with others and be a team member.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and maintenance work.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Must have the ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure.
  • Accounting experience is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense and technical understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to self-start projects and continuously work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, talk and hear.
  • Must be able to lift objects from the floor to overhead up to and including 25 pounds, and infrequently maneuver objects up to 55 pounds.

Work Schedule:

This will be a full-time non-exempt position and the hours may vary according to position demands.

Condition of Employment:

Working safely according to Company Safety Policy and the OSHA General Duty Clause, following all Company Policies according to the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and complying with all Federal, State and County regulations.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour.
