The Senior Event Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of client events, exhibitions and experiential projects from brief through to completion. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams, the role will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring exceptional delivery, strong client relationships and effective project management throughout the event lifecycle. This is a hands-on, client-facing position requiring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced agency environment. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to clients whilst supporting the wider Events & Exhibitions team through collaboration, knowledge sharing and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for allocated projects.
    • Lead client meetings, project updates and planning discussions.
    • Understand client objectives and translate these into successful event solutions.
    • Manage client expectations and provide proactive recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure a consistently high standard of client service and delivery.
  • Project Management & Delivery
    • Take ownership of multiple event and exhibition projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
    • Develop and manage project timelines, critical paths and planning documentation.
    • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and external partners to ensure successful delivery.
    • Oversee venue management, logistics, accommodation, travel and production requirements.
    • Manage project risks and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
    • Support and lead onsite event delivery both in the UK and internationally where required.
  • Financial Management
    • Support the creation and management of event budgets.
    • Monitor project spend and maintain accurate budget tracking throughout delivery.
    • Work closely with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and manage costs effectively.
    • Ensure purchase orders, invoices and financial documentation are processed accurately.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and maximise project value.
    • Support project reconciliation and financial reporting processes.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and event partners.
    • Manage supplier communications, negotiations and project deliverables.
    • Ensure all supplier commitments are delivered in line with agreed timelines and quality standards.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Team Support & Collaboration
    • Support and mentor Event Executives and junior team members.
    • Share knowledge, experience and best practice across the team.
    • Support onboarding and development of new team members where required.
    • Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
    • Assist with resource planning and workload management during busy periods.
  • New Business Support
    • Contribute ideas and event expertise to proposals and pitch responses.
    • Support the preparation of presentations, costings and client recommendations.
    • Identify opportunities for additional work within existing client accounts.
    • Represent OrangeDoor professionally during client meetings and industry events.
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence
    • Ensure projects are delivered in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Support the completion of risk assessments, health & safety documentation and compliance requirements.
    • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
    • Contribute to process improvements and operational best practice.
    • Support OrangeDoor's commitment to sustainability and responsible event delivery.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years’ experience within an events agency, exhibitions or experiential environment.
  • Proven experience delivering events from concept through to completion.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing event budgets and project finances.
  • Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with wider teams.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience delivering international events and exhibitions.
  • Experience within B2B technology, healthcare or corporate events.
  • Experience using Procim, Smartsheet or similar project management systems.
  • Experience supporting new business proposals and pitches.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and event compliance requirements.

Salary: £45,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bromley, Greater London (office-based / hybrid - 1 or 2 days in office per week)
