An established commercial vehicle group is looking for a qualified Finance Manager to establish and lead the finance function for its growing UK rental division.
You’ll combine hands-on financial management with commercial business partnering, helping the leadership team understand performance and make informed decisions.
This is an opportunity to shape the division's systems, controls and reporting processes while supporting its continued growth.
The role
- Establish robust financial controls, reporting processes and month-end procedures.
- Take ownership of accurate, timely monthly management accounts, reconciliations and insightful commentary.
- Work closely with operational and sales teams to understand performance, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, aligning financial plans with business objectives.
- Produce financial analysis and recommendations to support investment and strategic decisions.
- Improve processes, drive efficiencies and identify potential cost savings.
- Partner with Group Finance to meet reporting deadlines and maintain consistent standards.
- Support projects and act as a key point of contact for financial queries across the division.
About you
- A recognised professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
- A thorough understanding of the motor industry and its financial dynamics.
- Strong financial control, management accounting and commercial analysis experience.
- Confident building relationships with senior leaders, operational colleagues and sales teams.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis and modelling.
- Comfortable taking ownership, working independently and balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day delivery.
- Experience improving finance systems, controls and processes.
Vehicle hire or rental experience would be particularly advantageous. .
