An international business is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee reporting and compliance for its French operations.
This is a hands-on position combining financial accounting, local statutory requirements and collaboration with colleagues across an international finance function.
The role
- Take ownership of reporting deadlines and review the accuracy of month-end accounts.
- Prepare statutory accounts and group submissions under French accounting standards and US GAAP.
- Oversee local tax obligations, including VAT, corporation tax and payroll-related taxes and contributions.
- Coordinate with shared service teams on reconciliations, transaction processing and outstanding accounting issues.
- Work with external advisers and auditors, including supporting transfer pricing documentation.
- Improve financial processes and controls and provide accounting support to local management.
Your background
- Experience taking responsibility for accounting within an international organisation.
- Strong understanding of French statutory accounting and tax requirements.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and group reporting.
- A relevant degree in accounting, finance or business.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems.
- Fluent English and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- An organised, practical approach, with experience guiding colleagues and managing competing deadlines.
