A growing, service-led business is looking for a commercially minded newly created Supply Chain specialist to develop and manage its national courier network. This is a varied, hands-on role, with a strong opportunity to progress at the centre of a growing operation. You will source and onboard courier partners, strengthen supplier relationships, improve coverage and capacity, and help develop a scalable, digitally enabled logistics proposition.

You’ll work closely with Planning, Product, Technology and Marketing teams, as well as external suppliers, to support the continued growth of the company’s courier platform and marketplace.

  • Growing and developing a resilient UK-wide courier network
  • Managing 3PL (third party logistics)
  • Managing supplier performance, scorecards, review meetings and improvement plans
  • Negotiating rates, service levels and commercial agreements
  • Supporting suppliers to engage with a digital platform
  • Improving marketplace performance and onboarding independent drivers/local courier businesses
  • Monitoring service, analysing delivery data and resolving operational issues

Experience in courier, transport, logistics or supplier-management environments is required, along with strong supplier relationship management and commercial negotiation skills. You should be comfortable using performance data to identify issues and improvement opportunities. Experience with digital logistics platforms, supplier audits/compliance or CIPS/IOSH qualifications would be advantageous.

This would suit someone who enjoys combining commercial supplier management with practical operational problem-solving, and wants to make a visible impact on a growing national network.
