Due to company expansion during a very successful period of growth, this innovative company is seeking a new planner for its team. You will be joining a stable team who enjoy solving problems and working together to get the job done!
Shifts: Day, Mid, and Night shifts (remote flexibility for nights) operating on a 4 on 4 off rota, with more day shifts than mid and night.
Salary: £36,400, rising to £40,000 after 6-month probation
Role Overview
Responsible for planning HGV and fleet operations to ensure timely deliveries and meet service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Drivers Hours regulations and Working Time Directive.
- Liaise with drivers, staff, and clients, handling queries and logistics issues.
- Manage emergency response requests and adjust delivery schedules as needed.
- Arrange vehicle maintenance, servicing, and MOTs.
- Assist with costing reports and operational logistics.
- Handle customer complaints related to service delivery.
- Use IT systems for scheduling and communication.
Requirements
- Experience in HGV transport operations and scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
