We are looking for a dynamic leader to oversee financial operations, foster team collaboration, and elevate both guest and colleague experiences. This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of one of London’s most iconic hotels while ensuring operational excellence and delivering exceptional five-star service.
What you will do as a Director of Finance
- Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, and with a dotted line to the Area Finance Director UK&I, you will oversee the Finance function, including short- and long-term planning and management.
- Participate in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Leadership Committee.
- Manage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and cash management.
- Assist in nurturing the relationship with the owners. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating owner reporting as required. Provide custom reports, respond quickly to questions or requests, and attend meetings.
- Complete the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Coordinate external auditor’s visits, respond to auditor requests, approve adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit.
- Prepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review, and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department managers in this process. Take initiative to manage troubleshooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancement.
- Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plans.
About you
You will have a relevant background in a similar role in the luxury five-star market with ACCA or similar qualifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.
