Overview of the role We’re looking for a super organised and progressive People Associate to play a core role in our small but brilliant People team. Motivated by the opportunity to make an impact, you seize every chance to craft meaningful processes and create lasting engagement initiatives. As a true generalist with an understanding of the HR matters that surface in a dynamic business, you understand that whilst policies and processes are important, they shouldn’t inhibit people from doing their best work, so you’ll effortlessly put a people-lens on all that you do. Core Responsibilities Employment Law: Working with the Chief People Officer (CPO) to provide reliable guidance to Managers on how employment law shapes how we manage our relationship with our employees. Ensuring that our policies and procedures remain intuitive and in line with legislation. People Analytics: Collating and analysing employee data to provide actionable insights back to the business. Working with the CPO to use insights to make improvements across organisational design, compensation strategy, employee engagement and culture. Culture: Assisting the CPO with quarterly culture and values programmes in line with the People team’s OKRs. Researching and proposing employee engagement initiatives to help us build a culture of innovation, wellbeing, rewarding work and fun. Communicating our People frameworks, policies and processes to the business for everyone to understand how we do things here. Performance Management Proactive management of the Company’s performance review process, ensuring that all Managers understand the process, complete reviews with the defined cadence and have guidance on how to carry out an effective performance review. Providing guidance to Managers on management of performance. Manage our new joiner onboarding and induction programme – including probation objectives, company and team 101’s. Assisting the CPO to define clear performance criteria to be used consistently across the business. L&D Collaborating with the CPO in curating content and delivering quarterly internal workshops on agreed relevant topics in line with the People team’s OKRs. Assisting the CPO in developing our Professional Development process and managing the process once live. Guardian of our HR Tech: Proactively protecting the integrity of the data held within our HRIS so that we can rely on it as a single source of truth, ensuring all employee updates are made accurately and in a timely manner. Induction of new joiners to the HRIS system, ensuring that it remains an integral part of the business, relied upon by all employees as a key enabler and valuable source of information. Promotion of Pension and Wellbeing apps, ensuring that employees understand the exceptional investment we have made in their employment. Transactional: Administration of Employment Contracts, Addendums, Probation confirmation letters, FTC extensions, Contractor Agreements (with an eye on IR35 legislation), Holiday balances, EMI Scheme paperwork, Visa paperwork, Right to Work in UK document checks. Proactive tracking of contract renewals and probation expiry dates. Collation of monthly payroll files for processing, ensuring that all relevant inputs are captured to avoid delay. About you Ideally you will have at least CIPD Level 3, however alongside experienced candidates, we’re also happy to speak to you if you’re currently in an HR Admin role and working towards your CIPD, so this could be a growth role for you. Ultimately, we’d like to know that: You’re committed to your own growth You read around your subject, staying up to date with developments in Employment Law (Case Law implications, Legislation), Strategies to drive high performance and trends in Employee engagement. You’re a creative problem solver You get a kick out of solving people problems using insights from our people data. And whilst leaning on your HR playbook is sometimes the most efficient thing to do, you’re not afraid to try new approaches if the data points us in a different direction. You have tons of EQ Emotional Intelligence is essential in our People team. Amongst other things, you leverage this skill to manage mediation meetings to avoid employee disputes escalating and ensure that as a business we have empathy with our employees. You’re proud of your work You take pride in your responsibilities and proactively seek out potential issues before they inhibit company progress. You own your projects from end to end and you’re confident in your HR knowledge, using your expertise to help Managers grow in their capability as People leaders. You’re at ease working at pace You understand the nuances involved in working in a fast evolving technology business and are aware of the specific people challenges we face in our market. You’ve got the People team’s fundamentals You’re organised and have great attention to detail alongside absolute discretion and ability to build confidence and trust-based relationships.
