In the capacity of Trainee Team Leader; you\’ll start by learning the basics as a General Operative, as you learn the business, at your own pace you\’ll move into a Senior Operative role of your choice. Finally, again when you\’re ready, you\’ll take charge of your first team.
While your journey is detailed above, alongside you\’ll complete a level 3 ILM qualification, participating in a mix of classroom and on-the-job training. Alongside the formal training, there will be company training that is bespoke to working for us. The result is that you\’ll feel supported and inspired to fast-track your development.
Responsibilities
The eventual competencies of a Team Leader are as follows;
- Team Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
- Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the production process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, team performance, and any issues that arise, reporting to senior management as required.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between the production team and upper management, facilitating clear and effective communication.

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (Desired).
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role (Desired).
