ABOUT THE JOB

Working within the Central Commercial Team, Haymarket Business Media brings together a portfolio of established B2B media brands serving professional audiences across a range of industries. This role sits within the marketing team and supports the commercial activity of Haymarket Professional and Haymarket Marcomms.

The Senior Sales & Marketing Executive plays a key role in planning and delivering integrated commercial marketing activity across multiple B2B brands within Haymarket Professional and Haymarket Communications. Working closely with the Commercial Marketing Manager and Sales teams, the role is responsible for developing campaigns that generate awareness, engagement, qualified leads and commercial opportunities. Alongside campaign delivery, the role takes ownership of marketing-generated lead management, campaign optimisation and performance reporting, using insight to maximise commercial impact and contribute to pipeline and revenue growth. The Senior Sales & Marketing Executive also supports continuous improvement across marketing activity by identifying new opportunities, sharing best practice and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Support the wider marketing team with additional campaigns and projects when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and optimise integrated commercial marketing campaigns across email, paid and organic social media, landing pages and other digital channels.
  • Develop campaign strategies, messaging and audience plans that support commercial objectives and maximise lead generation.
  • Write and adapt compelling campaign copy, coordinate creative assets and manage campaign delivery from briefing through to reporting and optimisation.
  • Create, manage and optimise landing pages that effectively promote commercial opportunities and improve conversion rates.
  • Build, segment and maintain audience data in collaboration with Marketing Operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and best practice.
  • Manage and nurture marketing-generated leads, maintaining accurate activity within Salesforce and supporting their progression through the commercial pipeline.
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide clear recommendations to improve targeting, engagement, lead quality and return on investment.
  • Work closely with Sales teams to understand commercial priorities, proactively identifying opportunities where marketing can drive business growth.
  • Coordinate campaign delivery across Marketing, Sales, Editorial, Events and Operational teams, ensuring activity is delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Support the Commercial Marketing Manager with planning, testing and implementing new marketing initiatives and continuous improvements.
  • Share knowledge and best practice within the team, supporting colleagues where appropriate and contributing to the ongoing development of marketing processes.

Key Relationships

Work closely with the Commercial Marketing Manager, Sales teams, Marketing Operations and the wider marketing team to develop and deliver commercially focused campaigns. Build effective relationships with Editorial, Events and Brand teams, as well as external agencies and suppliers where required, to ensure marketing activity supports wider business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of B2B marketing principles and the role marketing plays in driving commercial growth, lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including email, paid and organic social media, landing pages and campaign automation.
  • Understanding of the lead lifecycle, CRM processes and sales and marketing alignment.
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation, customer journeys and responsible data management.
  • Understanding of campaign measurement, reporting and performance optimisation using marketing insights and analytics.
  • Awareness of the B2B media, publishing, events or professional information sector would be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, copywriting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across commercial and marketing teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to develop campaigns that support lead generation, pipeline growth and revenue objectives.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, brands and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign performance data, identify insights and recommend improvements.
  • Confident using CRM, email marketing and digital campaign platforms, ideally Salesforce, Acoustic or equivalent systems.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing campaign assets, audience data and reporting.

Experience

  • Experience in a B2B marketing, commercial marketing, lead generation or business development marketing role.
  • Experience planning, delivering and optimising integrated marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • Experience managing CRM systems, audience segmentation and marketing-generated leads to support commercial objectives.
  • Experience analysing campaign performance and using insights to improve future activity and marketing effectiveness.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver shared commercial objectives.
  • Experience working across multiple brands, products or campaigns within a fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous.
