We are looking to hire a Principal Medical Writer to join our award-winning Clinical Trial Experience (CTE) discipline here at Langland. This role is part-time, 22.5 hours per week, ideally split across 5 days.

Working as a Principal Medical Writer, you will deliver compelling, high-quality materials for sites and referral networks to support the smooth-running of clinical trials, as well as ideate novel and engaging meeting formats to activate sites, gather insights, and workshop potential challenges. More holistically, you will play a key role in building our site engagement capability by inputting into new business proposals and identifying organic growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day delivery of assigned projects
  • Take the lead as content expert for assigned projects
  • Provide thorough review of the work from junior or freelance writers to ensure high-quality outputs
  • Provide scientific and strategic counsel to clients and internal teams
  • Establish strong relationships with client teams
  • Identify and explore organic growth and new business opportunities
Qualifications
  • Experience within a medical communications agency or pharma comms team
  • Able to understand and communicate complex science (you should hold a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences)
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and motivated to deliver solutions
  • Experience creating a range of HCP-facing materials
  • Experience in a variety of therapy areas
  • Proven expertise in upskilling on new therapy areas, interpreting and communicating complex science in short timeframes
  • Responsible for maintaining high editorial and scientific standards
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
