You will join a highly regarded Leveraged Finance team that advises on complex, high-value financing transactions, often cross-border, for private equity sponsors, investment banks, private credit funds and corporate borrowers.
Work includes:
- Leveraged and acquisition financings
- Refinancings, recapitalisations, and syndicated lending
- Acting for both sponsor and lender-side clients
- Multi-jurisdictional transactions with complex structures
Responsibilities:
- Advise on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions for sponsors and lenders.
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
- Manage transactions from inception to closing, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues across global offices on multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes:
- A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 4 years post qualification experience.
- Strong technical skills with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating documentation.
- Prior Leveraged Finance experience is essential.
- Experience from a highly ranked practice or team.
- Experience in advising on cross border matters is key.
- Working as part of a team and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience with the team.
- Excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style.
- Ability to work effectively within an established, close-knit team.
- Be a self-starter, and be willing to be challenged by taking on work outside their comfort zone.
- Demonstrate ability to confidently interact with clients and develop business pro-actively.
- A commercial and pragmatic outlook.
- Have attained degree certificate(s) from a reputed institution, achieving a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent.
