The Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe’s leading food processing companies and operates as Dunbia in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has a desire to produce better food naturally. We have an exciting opportunity for an existing HR professional, or someone with a desire to progress into an HR role, to join our busy factory site team as an HR Assistant. You will have the support to develop and build on prior experience or transferable skill sets. The main focus of the role is to effectively contribute to the HR function at the Llanybydder Site, providing support to the existing onsite HR team and employees. Standard hours will be 8-5 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the HR team to support the delivery of all people policies and processes in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Support the HR function with the full recruitment process including interview, pre-employment checks and onboarding including the delivery of site inductions.
  • Support internal and external enquiries and requests relating to the HR function.
  • Daily on-site interaction and employee engagement with a multi-cultural and diverse workforce.
  • Support the business through the delivery of site absence management processes.
  • Ensure all completed training documentation is returned to the HR office, training matrix updated and paperwork filed.
  • Notetaking in formal meetings including but not limited to disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Help support, organise, and deliver onsite Occupational Health surveillance visits, ethical audits, and other such initiatives.
  • Ensure stringent right to work checks and responsibility for tracking visa expiry dates.
  • Support with the administration of contracts of employment and statements of change, and letter writing.
  • Maintaining personnel records.
  • General HR administration and support with any ad hoc HR projects as required.

  • Relevant experience in the HR field or strong transferrable skills considered.
