Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and storing cattle and sheep in accordance with animal welfare best practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

The Role

  1. Unloading and transferring animals to holding pens prior to slaughter;
  2. Reading ear tags and allocating kill numbers;
  3. Checking permits and carrying out FCI and transport audits;
  4. Ensuring permits and information are correctly entered into the system;
  5. Assisting with the daily cleaning schedule in Lairage;
  6. Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.

Qualifications

The Person

  1. Possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent);
  2. Previous experience in cattle and sheep handling is essential;
  3. Knowledge of animal welfare best practices;
  4. Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team;
  5. IT Skills essential

This position operates on a Monday to Friday day shift basis.
