Working within the Medical group across the MIMS Healthcare Network (MHN), this role will be leading all revenue lines across The MIMS Healthcare Network at an exciting time as we develop and expand our brands. The MHN encompasses a portfolio of trusted, well-established brands including GPonline, GP Business, MIMS, and MIMS Learning, designed to keep healthcare professionals informed on industry news, clinical education, drug information, and practice management. Elevating our industry reach, our newest brand, MIMS Pharma, delivers specialised business intelligence and market insights tailored specifically for the pharmaceutical sector.
The Group Commercial Director will lead the commercial strategy and revenue performance across the MIMS Healthcare Network, driving sustainable growth across a portfolio of trusted healthcare brands. Working across GPonline, GP Business, MIMS, MIMS Learning and MIMS Pharma, the role is responsible for maximising revenue across advertising, events, client content, subscriptions and paid content. The successful candidate will identify new commercial opportunities, develop innovative propositions and build strong relationships with customers and partners across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. As a senior leader within the Medical group, the Group Commercial Director will lead and develop a high-performing commercial team, collaborate closely with editorial, product, marketing and operational colleagues, and provide commercial insight to support the continued growth and success of the MIMS Healthcare Network.
Key Responsibilities
- The Group Commercial Director will be responsible for all revenue and own the overall commercial strategy and revenue performance across MIMS Healthcare Network, including advertising, live events, client content and subscriptions/paid content, ensuring sustainable growth across all revenue streams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial and paid content strategy to unlock new revenue streams and strengthen relationships with key clients.
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing commercial team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Drive commercial growth by identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities and business intelligence across the MIMS Healthcare Network.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, particularly within pharmaceutical companies and healthcare media agencies, acting as a senior commercial partner and trusted advisor.
- Manage a robust commercial pipeline, ensuring the delivery of accurate monthly financial forecasts and performance metrics to the Business Director.
- Work closely with editorial, product, marketing, events and operational teams to develop compelling commercial propositions and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Partner with editorial teams to identify opportunities for commercially viable content, data, research and subscription products while maintaining quality and customer value.
- Provide commercial leadership and insight to senior stakeholders, contributing to wider business strategy, investment decisions and future growth opportunities.
