Reporting to the Quality Manager, we are seeking determined and committed individuals who can work as part of our Food Safety & Quality team in our Primary Factory (Boning and Slaughter Halls). This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong interest and desire to work and develop their career within the food manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Completion and documentation of all relevant checks in relation to food safety, quality, legality, good manufacturing practice, good hygiene practice and customer specification.
- Reporting exceptions to Management and initiating corrective action when required.
- Conducting product sampling and testing as required.
- Striving for total customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrable ability to carry out checks, and reference information for accuracy and details;
- Ability to demonstrate strong numeracy skills;
- Ability to demonstrate IT proficiency;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to work to tight production deadlines;
- High level of motivation.
Desirable:
- Minimum of six months previous experience in a quality assurance or food production environment (although not necessary, as full training will be provided);
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent;
- Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of HACCP principles and pre-requisite programs;
- Possess a higher level qualification in food technology or related discipline.
