Please note: This scheme is only open to candidates who have full, unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK. We also have an Occupational Requirement of only accepting applicants who are committed and active Christians in a local UK church.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Training – Fully engage in all classroom‑based theory modules, via a degree.
  • Practical Skills Development – Take part in hands‑on training and perform foundational aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Partnership Development – Build and sustain a network of prayer, pastoral, and financial supporters.

Education & Qualifications

  • A-levels including Physics and Mathematics (grade B or above) - this is not mandatory but helps toward getting a university degree place, which this scheme requires.
  • Suggested Five GCSEs including English and Mathematics (grade C/4 or above).

Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership within church, school, or another relevant context.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong, clear, and diplomatic communication skills.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent compliance with procedures and instructions.

Important Note: This scheme is only open to individuals who have full and unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK. Trainees will undertake specialised training leading to an EASA B1 or B2 aeronautical engineering licence, with practical training delivered through our partner organisations before returning to serve overseas with MAF.
