Job Description

The role in a nutshell: Are you fascinated by human behaviour, the stories data can tell, and how insights drive brilliant strategies? Do you love digging deep into audiences, unearthing cultural truths, and exploring the nuances of subcultures? We’re looking for a Junior Data Strategist who thrives at the intersection of numbers and narrative. You’ll interrogate data, uncover profound insights, and translate complex findings into crystal-clear, actionable strategies. Your work, investigating subcultures, dissecting trends, crafting reports, and contributing to creative briefs, will be the bedrock for impactful campaigns. Collaborate with creative and account teams to transform raw data into strategic fuel. This role is for a curious, analytical mind eager to solve puzzles and grow their strategic prowess in a dynamic agency environment.

Research, Insights & Analytics

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative consumer research, including secondary research on audiences and trends.
  • Lead effectiveness measurement and data analytics across multiple data types and models.
  • Lead use of the proprietary insight tools to uncover actionable insights, distinct strategic territories and creative opportunities.
  • Identify key facts and insights to inform communication narratives, strategy, and creative direction.
  • Produce insight reports with clear recommendations to inform strategy and campaign execution.
  • Interrogate data briefs and translate insights into practical application.
  • Support senior team members by sourcing, refining, and delivering research and data.

Strategy, Creative & Briefing

  • Write creative briefs with senior guidance.
  • Ensure insights are effectively translated into strategy and creative territories and direction.
  • Collaborate closely with creative and account service team to ensure communication solutions are creative and based on compelling strategies.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the briefing process and its role in successful delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted and reliable support across a wide range of activities.
  • Build and maintain effective one-to-one client relationships through professional communication.
  • Proactively work to understand and align with client goals.
  • Deliver high-quality, client-ready work and documentation.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Project Delivery & Ways of Working

  • Independently manage small projects with direction.
  • Ensure work is delivered on time, to a high standard, and with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy across all client and external communications.
  • Use initiative to progress and complete tasks efficiently.

Social Media Conversation Analysis

  • Use social media platforms and/or accompanying tool suite to understand key conversations around trends, brands and categories.
