Role Overview
We are looking for a Commercial Associate Director to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial team by coordinating financial and commercial information across global markets for our clients. As the primary contact for commercial finance inquiries, you will collaborate with agency markets and business development. This position resides within the commercial team and demands excellent communication skills, particularly when working with non-native English speakers. You will work closely with various departments, including Commercial Compliance, PMX Trading, Investment & Accountability, Group Media Solutions, Finance, Legal, and Client teams to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Managing âmid-levelâ global/regional pitches, establishing the commercial proposal and being a key contact for senior internal stakeholders.
- Managing one or more global clients on commercial discussions.
- Acting as commercial business partner to Global Client Leads for global/regional media clients run out of London.
- Engaging with Regional/Local business and finance leads on commercial and financial discussions, to ensure global deals are successfully implemented in a contract-compliant manner.
- Guiding junior team members.
- Coordinating with Legal on commercial contracts for clients and pitches.
- Regular interaction with client procurement.
- Overseeing (with Global Client Leads) scopes of work and ensuring out of scope work captured, costed and highlighted.
- Managing commercial team reporting.
Qualifications
- Media agency experience in a Senior Commercial Manager, Associate Director or similar type role.
- Strong understanding of the pitch and commercial process within Media.
- Strong quantitative and negotiation skills, with an understanding of media agency dynamics.
- Proficiency in data management, finance systems, and Excel (including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot tables); VBA skills are a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and time management for handling multiple tasks.
