We are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic Programmes Team. The Project Manager will design and deliver environmental programmes and projects that engage, educate, and inspire business participants. Covering a range of climate and environment topics, including circular economy initiatives, the role involves managing projects, events, and related tasks from research and planning to delivery and evaluation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scoping and coordinating activities, recruiting speakers and participants, overseeing logistics, producing outputs, and tracking KPIs.
- Develop, plan, execute, and oversee programme tasks, projects, and events within your responsibility scope.
- Work with a Project Coordinator to ensure that projects are supported by well-executed marketing plans, including content, social media, and external communications.
- Carry out appropriate due diligence on event speakers to ensure alignment with the topic and our values.
- Summarise key insights and takeaways from project activities, disseminating to relevant stakeholders.
- Research challenges and opportunities within the business landscape to support decision-making and programme development, as needed.
- Regularly assess programme results and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate impact and progress.
- Keep up with key developments across Environment/Sustainability areas to signpost relevant updates and opportunities to business participants, and feed into wider policy/advocacy opportunities.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders and organisations to enhance the impact and reach of your projects.
- Liaise with the UN Global Compact Office (GCO) and other UN Global Compact Country Networks participating in or collaborating on initiatives.
- Work closely with members to facilitate effective collaborative engagement.
- Participate in regular team meetings and share updates that are relevant to other colleagues, including contributing to the continuous improvement of team practices by sharing constructive feedback and practical solutions.
Who we are looking for:
- Someone with demonstrable knowledge and experience in corporate sustainability, including knowledge of climate and environmental topics, especially the circular economy.
- Someone with strong project management skills, able to work collaboratively and inclusively.
- Someone with good presentation skills, able to present, moderate, and lead sessions and events.
- Someone with good problem-solving and innovation skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Someone proficient in research and analysis, with the ability to evaluate information critically and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Someone proficient in administrative and time management skills, with the ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple tasks or deadlines effectively.
- Someone with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt tone and language to suit different audiences and contexts.
What we offer:
- Hybrid working – After onboarding, a minimum of two days in the office per week, working from home 3 days per week.
