In the UK, we operate in one of the most competitive and fast-paced restaurant markets, where success requires strong execution, resilience, and commercial drive. This role is a high-performance, target-driven sales position, focused on new business acquisition, where you will own your territory, consistently deliver results, and contribute to the development of the wider team.
What you will do:
- This is a field-based role (approx. 80% of your time).
- Your day-to-day will include:
- Prospecting restaurants via cold calls, walk-ins, and outreach
- Conducting in-person meetings and product demos to present TheFork products and services
- Managing your own pipeline from first contact to closing
- Adapting your schedule to restaurant availability (including occasional evening meetings)
- Support onboarding and ramp-up of new hires
- Share best practices and contribute to team performance improvement
- Act as a role model in terms of activity levels, pipeline management, and execution
- Provide informal support to managers on day-to-day operational topics when needed
This is a highly proactive new business role focused on self-generated pipeline and outbound prospecting. Success in this position comes from consistency, ownership, and the ability to build strong commercial relationships in a fast-paced environment.
What success looks like:
- First 60 days:
- Quick ramp up on the sales pitch and product knowledge (both B2C and B2B)
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Start to establish wider network in the sector of useful industry contacts
- Close deals early and demonstrate ability to operate autonomously
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly targets
- Maintain strong pipeline coverage and activity levels (15 meetings per week / 30+ opportunities created monthly)
- Active discovery and participation/attendance at industry/networking events
- Contribute to team performance through knowledge sharing and support
Who you are:
You must meet these essential qualifications:
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong advantage
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with a strong track record in new business acquisition
- Proven experience managing full sales cycle independently, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to create urgency and close with ease
- Ability to operate autonomously in a competitive and fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to look at opportunities with a long-term and business first approach
