About Us

We are looking for a skilled, reliable Electrician to join our growing Umega Home Repairs Maintenance team and help deliver a first-class service to our internal and external customers. Umega Home Repairs is affiliated with Umega Lettings who are a busy and well-established letting and property management business, committed to maintaining high standards across their residential properties.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Carry out electrical work in domestic properties
  • Perform EICR inspections, testing and complete all required electrical certification
  • Undertake PAT testing of electrical equipment
  • Complete electrical upgrades, consumer unit repairs, rewiring and fault finding
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring properties are left clean and tidy
  • Communicate effectively with customers to deliver a professional service
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time, including data entry and transfer

Essential qualifications

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification (NVQ, SVQ, C&G Level 3)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2)
  • Valid ECS card
  • Valid Full UK driving licence

Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, enabling them to plan workloads effectively, estimate materials accurately, and manage their time efficiently. A good understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices is essential, along with the ability to work in full compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be a confident communicator, able to engage professionally with customers and colleagues to deliver a high-quality service. Competence in using a tablet or smartphone is required to record work activity, capture images, and input survey data accurately. You should have a minimum of three years' practical experience working as a qualified electrician and be able to manage your workload independently, while remaining flexible and adaptable to varying workloads and schedules. A positive, proactive approach to health and safety is essential, alongside a people-first attitude-being friendly, reliable, and consistently focused on working safely and professionally. Please note that satisfactory DBS checks will be carried out as part of the recruitment process.
