We are looking for 2 outstanding hospitality professionals and/or tutors to join us as Skills Coaches.
Location: Home based with travel (proximity to Head Office desirable: Medway, Chatham Dockyard)
Travel: London/Oxford - with some national coverage as we grow
Roles: 2x Full-Time Roles - Monday - Friday (Permanent)
Starting Salary: £32,000 per annum (+location weighting eligibility)
As a Skills Coach, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment in hospitality apprenticeships:
- Manage and support a caseload of learners and employer partners, nationally
- Guide apprentices through onboarding, delivery sessions, progress reviews, and assessments
- Deliver engaging training (online & in-person) across Hospitality pathways (Level 2–4), and culinary being desirable
- Support learners in English & Maths development
- Drive timely achievement and End Point Assessment readiness
- Champion hospitality curriculum pathways and be an expert in service delivery and best practice
- Embed safeguarding, inclusivity, and British Values into all delivery
- Adapt teaching approaches for learners with SEND (with specialist support from our SEN coordinator)
- Promote Umbrella Training programmes to employers, and Umbrella Evolve (commercial programmes)
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Strong hospitality experience (ideally in 4–5★ luxury environments at management level)
- Passionate, honest, dedicated and results driven
- English & Maths Level 2 (GCSE A–C or equivalent)
- Passion for developing talent and inspiring others
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring
Desirable:
- Hospitality / Culinary qualifications (Level 3+)
- Previous experience in a similar role - Skills Coach, Skills Tutor, Hospitality Tutor etc.
- Teaching, training, or assessment qualifications
- Experience delivering in-person and online training
