We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Healthcare Assistant at Level 2 or 3, to join our friendly and supportive General Practice team. The post holder will assist GPs and the Practice Nursing Team in delivering high quality care to our practice population. Working under the indirect supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Healthcare Assistant will undertake a range of delegated clinical duties in line with training and competence. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within primary care and work as part of a collaborative, patient focused team.
Main duties of the job:
- Undertake delegated clinical tasks in accordance with practice policies and procedures
- Support chronic disease management and health promotion activities
- Carry out routine observations and measurements
- Deliver NHS Health Checks and assist with longterm condition monitoring
- Support vaccination and immunisation programmes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
- Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements
Essential:
- Healthcare Assistant Level 2 or Level 3
- Experience working in a healthcare setting (General Practice desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to providing high quality, patient-centred care
- Clinical Skills (trained or working towards): Blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI, venepuncture, ECG, peak flow & inhaler technique
