My client, a BioAI biotech company focused on developing a cutting-edge drug development and diagnostics platform, is searching for an enthusiastic early-career (Junior) Bioinformatician to join their expert R&D Bioinformatics Product team as they are growing with exciting partnerships and innovative projects in their pipeline. For the right candidate, this position can be UK Remote with occasional quarterly visits onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of bioinformatics workflows
- Utilise multi-modal omics data to generate biomarker insights
- Support ML and Bioinformatics teams with discovery, development and delivery of biomarkers for multiple disease indications
Your Profile:
- MSC in Bioinformatics, Computational biology, Machine Learning (or similar)
- Demonstrated expertise in Python programming (work experience or internships)
- Expertise in working with Multi-Omics is essential (NGS/Mass spec omics)
- Experience with Nextflow (or snakemake) for NGS pipeline development
- Excellent communication and team player mentality
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow within an expert team
Preferred expertise:
- ML Expertise, including deployment (MLOps)
- Experience with Immunology or oncology projects
- Imaging, proteomics, metabolomics, single cell data types - the more modalities of data you have worked with, the better!
