Quantity Surveyor – Power & Renewables Sector

Are you ready to take your commercial career to the next level?

You’ll play a pivotal role in the delivery of large-scale power and renewable energy projects, taking ownership of cost management, contracts, and client relationships from tender through to completion. Working alongside project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure every project runs smoothly, profitably, and to the highest standards.

When you’re in this role, you’ll be hands-on with:

  • Preparing and managing detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Overseeing subcontractor accounts, payments, and final settlements.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers.
  • Leading procurement processes to secure best value and reliable partners.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Presenting clear commercial updates at project meetings and reviews.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing cost and contracts on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance detail with big-picture project outcomes.
  • Leadership qualities, with experience mentoring junior surveyors.
