About the Role
Our client is seeking a Group Electrical Operations Engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve operating processes for critical electrical systems across a global data centre portfolio. This role provides expert technical support to site-based operations teams across multiple regions, ensuring safe, resilient, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. You will lead root cause analysis following incidents or failures, applying structured methodologies to maximise learning, prevent recurrence, and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and future projects to ensure appropriate consideration of electrical equipment selection, configuration, and operational use.
- Ensure site operations teams have adequate in-country technical support to operate and maintain deployed electrical systems effectively.
- Partner closely with site engineering managers to provide technical direction and guidance, embedding best-practice operational standards.
- Drive a strong culture of continuous learning and improvement to eliminate repeat failures within electrical systems.
- Embed high standards of service quality across all electrical engineering activities.
- Continuously improve electrical management systems and reduce the operational impact of electrical incidents.
- Ensure critical electrical systems remain fully available and resilient at all times.
- Review, develop, and maintain electrical engineering policies, procedures, and systems of work.
- Research and support the deployment of best-in-class modern maintenance and reliability strategies.
- Leverage emerging technologies and data to improve asset visibility, performance, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing and supporting critical systems maintenance.
- Recent hands-on experience operating and supporting electrical infrastructure within mission-critical environments.
- Experience training, coaching, and mentoring teams to ensure effective use of asset and maintenance management systems.

- Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical operations and asset management.
