Umberslade Diamond Drilling & Sawing Ltd is busy and growing, with long-term secured work across the Midlands and UK. We are now looking to strengthen our team with experienced operatives and new apprentices. We are part of the Umberslade Group, a well-established, family-run contractor with nearly 30 years’ experience, delivering Strip Out, Demolition, Ground Works / Civils, Drilling and Sawing Specialist works, safely and professionally.
Experienced Concrete Drilling & Sawing Operatives required for an immediate start. Location: Midlands-based (UK travel required).
We are looking for skilled operatives with proven experience in Concrete Drilling, Sawing and Robotic Demolition. Experience to include:
- Diamond drilling
- Hand, Track & Wire Sawing
- BROKK / Husqvarna
- Robotic Demolition
You will need:
- DSA Skilled CSCS card (essential)
- Strong safety awareness and quality-first mindset
- Ability to work as part of a professional team
- Flexibility to travel to sites nationwide, as and when required
We are also keen to hear from any 18-year-olds + for an Apprenticeship, to become an experienced Drilling & Sawing operative, who want to learn a proper trade and build a long-term career. For the right people, we offer:

We are also looking for Self-Employed BROKK Operators for a project specific contract. Location: Central Birmingham. Duration: The project runs until Christmas 2026 and possibly longer. We are seeking experienced self-employed BROKK operators for a long-term city centre project. Consistent work, clear programme, no gaps.
