This is a full-time on-site role for a Lorry Driver, based in Solihull. The Lorry Driver will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to and from construction sites, mainly using hook lift lorries, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, performing vehicle inspections, maintaining logs of working hours, and adhering to safety regulations. The Lorry Driver will also assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the fleet manager.
Responsibilities
- Transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites, mainly using hook lift lorries.
- Ensure timely and safe deliveries; load and unload materials as required.
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain logs of working hours; comply with safety regulations.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the fleet manager.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence and experience driving large vehicles.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
