Completes patient physical assessment. Performs and/or delegates patient treatments as prescribed by the physician. Documents patient care. Develops and implements an educational plan for patient/family.

Major Responsibilities
- Acts as a role model for all clinical staff. Trains, and provides direction/oversight to the clinical staff. Participates in the interviewing and evaluating of the clinical staff.
- Triages phone calls and executes appropriate follow through.
- Performs vital signs, and visual acuity on designated patients and documents appropriately. Assists physicians with technical procedures, such as outpatient surgical procedures, pap smears, sigmoidoscopies etc., assembling sterile instruments and supplies, participating in the set up, maintenance, and disassembly and cleaning of patient equipment.
- Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs and immunizations. Administers immunizations, medications, IVs. Performs quality control testing in compliance with CLIA regulations.
- Recognizes changes in patient\’s physical and mental condition and takes appropriate actions. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Provides nursing interventions to appropriate to patient\’s physical condition and emotional status.
License/Certification/Education
II. Position Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts either LPN or RN.
Preferred
- BLS Certification
Experience/Skills
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an LPN or RN.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead and train a group of employees.
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of office and laboratory procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications and electronic health records.
