This is a chance to join a high growth international fragrance house who are operations globally. The company have recently invested significantly in the team along with the latest GCMS and automated compounding equipment.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage the UK Analytical team, and coordinate and support Analytical teams in India, USA and Barcelona.
- Analysis of market products and fragrance concentrates using GCMS
- Analysis of raw materials and bases for regulatory purposes
- Expand the GCMS library of raw materials and competitor products
- Optimise analytical and sample extraction methods
- Work closely with perfumers and evaluators
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of Agilent GC-MS equipment
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or master’s in chemistry or other industry related qualification
- Track record of applied technical experience in fragrance analysis
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, GCMS techniques and softwares (knowledge of Agilent systems; Chemstation and MassHunter are helpful)
- Previous experience in a management role
- Good communication skills and ability to work within, train and motivate the analyst team
- Experience in fragrance duplication for different segments: homecare, fine fragrance, personal care
- Knowledge of extraction techniques and sample preparation
