We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative and fast-paced development team. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions for our enterprise and customer-facing systems. This role is crucial in delivering high-performance applications using modern software development methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical designs and working code.
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and technical challenges.
  • Implement security and data protection best practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer or developer.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++.
  • Experience with modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., Django, React, Node.js, .NET, Angular).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, or containerisation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Previous work in highly regulated or secure environments is an advantage.

Salary and UKVI Compliance:

  • This role meets and exceeds the general salary threshold for Skilled Worker visas.
  • The salary of £75,000 to £90,000 per annum complies with the UKVI requirement for senior Software Engineers and ensures eligibility for sponsorship.
