JOB BRIEF
We are looking for an Educational Consultant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to experience a wide-ranging education focussed role, spanning client management, providing guardianship support, mentoring and admissions guidance. Given the small size of the team, this role would benefit a proactive self-starter who is able to work well in an unstructured environment sometimes outside of normal working hours. There is a significant opportunity for you to grow with the business if successful. You will join a tight-knit and expanding team with real responsibility from day one. This role reports to the company founders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effective client communication β pre and post-sale with families and their children
- Visiting schools β to check up on our students and accompanying our clients
- Administrative tasks β wide-ranging, from managing our students\β expense accounts to helping to ensure safeguarding compliance
- Supporting our guardianship service β responding to guardianship requests from our students/parents
- Supporting our marketing team by posting articles and content to UM\βs social media channels (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, etc)
REQUIREMENTS
- Motivated and driven to succeed in an unstructured environment
- Fluent Mandarin and English speaker
- A keen interest in the field of education and pastoral care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Client focus β able to understand and solve issues through the eyes of our clients
- Attention to detail β our clients have very high standards
- Excellent time-management, organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Familiarity with mainstream Chinese social media (including but not limited to: Douyin, Red, Weibo, WeChat)
- Knowledge of UK Independent School system a bonus
