We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented sonographers to join our newly established, patient-focused private ultrasound clinic in Croydon. You’ll be part of a supportive environment that prioritises quality over quantity, with flexible scheduling options and a modern, high-spec clinical setting.
Success in this role means delivering safe, accurate, and professional ultrasound services while maintaining a respectful, patient-first attitude. This position is key to helping us build a trusted local service for obstetric and general ultrasound imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform one or more types of ultrasound scans, such as obstetric (2D/3D/4D), general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, MSK, or vascular – depending on your expertise
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
- Accurately report and document scan findings in line with clinic policies
- Liaise with patients and colleagues in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scanning techniques, safety protocols, and relevant clinical guidance
- Participate in clinical audits, CPD, and quality assurance activities
- Support smooth clinic operations by working collaboratively with the front-of-house and clinical teams
Qualifications & Skills
- HCPC or NMC registration (or equivalent ultrasound qualification)
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification ultrasound experience in the UK preferred
- Skilled in one or more of the following scan areas: obstetrics, general, gynaecology, MSK, or vascular
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- High level of professionalism, accuracy, and empathy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid professional indemnity insurance (for self-employed candidates)
