Location and Legalities
This full-time Technical Writer position is based onsite in our brand-new Ultralytics office in London, UK, with a hybrid model of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the UK, as Ultralytics does not provide visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Writer at Ultralytics, you will be the bridge between our complex AI technologies and our users. You will produce high-quality documentation that is clear, concise, and effective. Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for our open-source software, including our state-of-the-art YOLO11 model and other vision AI solutions.
- Creating engaging tutorials, how-to guides, and best-practice articles covering topics from model training and hyperparameter tuning to deployment on various platforms.
- Documenting our Python API, CLI, and key integrations like TensorRT and OpenVINO.
- Collaborating closely with our engineering and research teams to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content for a diverse audience.
- Managing our documentation portal using MkDocs, Markdown, and a Git-based workflow on GitHub.
- Applying SEO best practices to enhance the visibility and discoverability of our documentation and blog content.
- Developing and maintaining a consistent style and voice across all technical content, ensuring it aligns with the Ultralytics brand.

Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably for a developer audience in the AI or software industry.
- Exceptional command of the English language with proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical content.
- Proficiency with documentation-as-code workflows using Markdown, Git, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with static site generators like MkDocs or Sphinx.
- Basic proficiency in Python to understand and document code examples and APIs.
- A strong interest in or experience with machine learning, computer vision, and object detection models like YOLO.
- Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, and other developer tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how to apply them to technical documentation to drive organic traffic.
