Location and Legalities
This full-time Solution Engineer position is based onsite in our brand-new Ultralytics office in London, UK. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the UK, as Ultralytics does not provide visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
- As a Solution Engineer at Ultralytics, you will be the technical face of our organization. You will work directly with clients to design, prototype, and deploy computer vision solutions powered by Ultralytics YOLO.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their use cases and challenges, and architect end-to-end solutions using the YOLO ecosystem.
- Deliver high-quality technical demos, onboarding sessions, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops that illustrate how to build with YOLO and demonstrate the power of Ultralytics tooling.
- Design annotation strategies and model training pipelines tailored to the client’s data, goals, and deployment constraints.
- Debug client issues and deliver effective solutions with a strong understanding of the YOLO package, Python, OpenCV, model behaviour.
- Support pre-sales efforts by participating in technical discovery calls and helping shape proposals and SLAs.
- Serve as a key technical advisor during customer engagements, ensuring successful integration and continued satisfaction.
- Interface regularly with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams to advocate for customer needs and influence roadmap priorities.
- Act as a strategic technical advisor to clients, shaping computer vision solutions that drive tangible business outcomes with YOLO models.
- Enable the sales and marketing technical expertise, competitive insights, and field learnings to support campaign effectiveness and messaging accuracy.
- Represent Ultralytics at conferences, webinars, and customer events. Contribute to technical blog posts, customer stories, and educational materials.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or applied AI roles.
- Excellent client-facing skills: patient, resilient, and able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with the YOLO ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, and classical ML/CV concepts.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end model lifecycles, including data collection, preparation, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Experience with Docker and comfort working across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
- Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor teams and developers through courses, bootcamps, workshops, or community engagement.
- Comfort leading workshops, writing technical guides, or presenting to developer audiences.
