Ultra CEMS is looking for a Repairs Technician to join the Production Team. The role reports to a Repairs Manager and involves carrying out production tasks related to the manufacturing process, ensuring the product is manufactured cost‑effectively and meets quality standards while maintaining delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book Customer PO's onto our system and create shop floor packets (work instructions).
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multi‑meters and soldering/desoldering equipment.
  • Always follow ESD and safety procedures.
  • Perform component‑level repairs (e.g., replacing resistors, capacitors, ICs, and connectors).
  • Mechanical and conventional PCB assembly.
  • Surface‑mount hand‑fit assembly.
  • Wiring and/or cable assembly.
  • PCB cleaning (manual & automated).
  • Maintain accurate repair records and parts usage documentation.
  • Order parts for our system.
  • Prepare components.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct self‑inspection.
  • Pack product.
  • Ship completed PO's off our system and create C of C's.
  • Rework product in accordance with customer drawings/PO's, using production process notes and completing Repairs documentation as instructed and per quality standards.
  • Keep workstations clean and organized according to FOD and 6S procedures.
  • Monitor and comply with company procedures, including ESD and Health & Safety practices.
  • Perform other tasks as requested, within certified capabilities or with training or supervision.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Good attention to detail and dexterity skills.
  • Ability to follow customer requests with the aid of customer drawings/process notes accurately.

Desirable

  • Experience with electronics.
  • Experience working in an ESD controlled environment.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and be prepared to successfully undertake an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
