Description

Working within the coating team and reporting to a Coating Supervisor. The Conformal Coating Operator will be required to carry out production tasks associated with the coating PCB’s. Ensuring that the product is manufactured to the required quality standards in line with Class 3 Electronics

Key Tasks

  • Mask and / or tape circuit boards in areas that are to be free of conformal coating or potting
  • Inspect assemblies to ensure proper coating coverage
  • Maintain the coating and dispensing machines to ensure proper operating condition
  • Maintain coating materials log to control FEFO. (First Expired / First Out)
  • Remove any excess coating and perform manual touch-up of any areas the coating machine may miss so boards maintain a consistent high quality
  • Transport racks of circuit boards from one destination to another to continue the manufacturing process
  • Maintain machines including changing the fluids and mixers and cleaning machines to ensure proper and efficient operation.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to always provide a safe and clean working environment.
  • Knowledge of various materials used
  • Must complete applicable Specific Function Training courses
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor to accommodate fluctuating production requirements such as : Mechanical Assembly, Conventional PCB Assembly

You will be coating product in accordance with Customer drawings, using the Production process notes as an aid to manufacturing, and completing Production documentation with required information as instructed and as per quality standards.

Ensure the shop floor is always kept neat and tidy, in accordance with FOD and 6s procedures.

Monitor and comply with Company Procedures, including ESD and Health and Safety practices.

From time to time, you may be requested to carry out other tasks. These tasks will be within your certified capabilities or carried out with training or supervision.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Good attention to detail and dexterity skills
  • Ability to follow process notes accurately.

Desirable

  • Has coating experience.
  • Experience of working in an ESD controlled environment.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and be prepared to successfully undertake an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
