Loudwater, Greenford, and Weymouth exclusively offer a 9-day fortnight working pattern, offering extended weekends every other week, granting you more time to pursue your passions. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Create intelligent operational insights through strong cross-functional relationships.
- Act as a key partner to the VP Operations, Production Manager, Project Teams and Engineering, translating manufacturing and testing requirements into clear, achievable, integrated plans.
- Build and maintain a consolidated, dynamic schedule for all manufacturing and testing activities across internal and external sites (inc production planning/ master production schedule). Develop and maintain trusted relationships with external test partners, proactively managing day-to-day delivery and capacity.
- Own and evolve a world-class operational information system:
- Use data from our ERP system and spreadsheets to model demand, capacity and timelines, providing clear, timely visibility of:
- On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery
- Capacity pinch-points
- Risks to delivery and operational improvement opportunities
- Take decisive, data-led action to optimise operational performance:
- Work collaboratively across teams and with external partners to resolve capacity and scheduling conflicts
- Continuously improve scheduling processes as we transition to increased external testing
- Proactively identify and resolve operational risks and constraints before they impact delivery
Essential
- Strong relationship builder: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage confidently across functions, leadership levels, and external partners.
- Information storyteller: Able to manage, analyse and translate data into clear, actionable insights β both in reports and presentations.
- Highly data literate Highly proficient in core data manipulation skills (analysis, data structure design, modelling) with very strong Excel skills
- Comfortable structuring and managing operational data for planning & performance reporting
- ERP systems experience: Knowledge of ERP platforms (ideally IFS), with capability in data extraction, analysis and operational reporting
- Able to simplify complexity: Proven ability to bring order and clarity to complex, evolving operational processes.
Desirable
- Operational Experience: Experience in a production planning environment, operations scheduling, or programme role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Dashboarding: Familiarity with dashboard tools such as PowerBI
- Exposure to planning and scheduling activities in a technical or engineering-based setting
- Familiarity with IFS; our ERP system
