Ultra Intelligence & Communications (Ultra I&C) currently has a vacancy for a Stores Person / Driver based in Tring.
Scope
You will be responsible for liaising with customers/suppliers regarding the drop‑off and collection of satellite communications equipment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work within a team to ensure prompt, accurate, and efficient package distribution and collection. The working schedule is a 9‑day fortnight.
Responsibilities
- Support the stores area
- Load and unload goods
- Packing outbound products to suppliers and customers
- Ensure goods are collected and delivered on time
- Maintain a high level of service to all internal and external customers
- Return completed Proof of Delivery sheets
- Sign receipts for courier deliveries
- Pick kits for Production
- Use the internal ICS system for stock control
- Perform other tasks as allocated by the Production Manager
- Keep stores and vehicle clean and tidy at all times
- Housekeeping in and around the site
- Deliver and collect materials and equipment to and from subcontractors
- Provide off‑site assistance for Production/Engineering at test ranges
- Operate a forklift truck on site
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Confident van driver
- Compliance with the Road Traffic Act
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance
Desirable
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Previous picking and packing experience
